Barbecue and entertainment on tap during Camp Roberts Museum Day

Camp Roberts Museum Day will take place from noon to 4 p.m. Saturday at Sculpterra Winery, 5125 Linne Road in Paso Robles.

A large number of local nonprofit agencies will have informational booths. San Luis Obispo County District Attorney Dan Dow will give the keynote address. There will be a Santa Maria-style BBQ, silent auction, military equipment and classic and antique cars on display, activities for children and more.

San Miguel Mission will celebrate the 221st anniversary of its founding from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 30, in the mission picnic grounds. Parking is available behind the mission with access through the back gate. No coolers please.

Breakfast is available from 8 a.m. Festivities begin at noon with food, fun and live music. Mass in English is at 7 a.m. and noon. Mass in Spanish has been changed to 9 a.m. Raffle tickets are available in the gift shop for great prizes.

Dinner tickets are $12 for adults and $8 for children 10 and under for a choice of beef or chicken BBQ or Mexican food. Desserts and beverages are extra. There will be games for children and a silent auction (donations still being accepted; call the office at 805-461-2131 to donate). It’s a big family party. Bienvenidos!

Sept. 26 at 7 p.m.: San Miguel Advisory Council at the community building behind the library in the park. The council is advisory to the SLO County Board of Supervisors and the Planning Department in their decisions pertaining to the San Miguel area.

At the San Miguel Senior Center, 601 12th Street (East):

Sept. 28 at 6:30 p.m.: Community Bingo — 10 games at 50 cents per card.
