Did you apply to Cal Poly? Here’s when acceptance letters will be sent
It’s college admissions season, and thousands of students hoping to attend Cal Poly are anxiously waiting to learn whether they’ve been accepted to the San Luis Obispo university.
Cal Poly will notify all applicants of admission, rejection or waitlisting by April 1, according to university spokesperson Matt Lazier.
The notices will be visible through applicants’ Cal Poly portal. Those admitted will have until May 15 to accept or reject their application.
Once the university has an idea how many admitted students will accept their offers, it will begin filling additional space from the waitlist, up until July 15.
There are no rankings on the waitlist and no additional materials will be accepted, Cal Poly said on its website.
Last year, Cal Poly admitted 21,619 students of the 74,571 who applied, according to the Cal Poly Institutional Research data dashboard. Of those, 6,619 accepted their admissions.
This year, Cal Poly broke another record for the number of applications received at 78,947, topping last year’s by nearly 4,000.
