Cuesta College hires new assistant superintendent

The Cuesta College Board of Trustees has chosen Daniel Troy as its new assistant superintendent and vice president for administrative services.

Troy is currently vice chancellor of college finance and facilities planning at the California Community Colleges Chancellor’s Office.

Troy earned a bachelor’s degree in English from Dickinson College in 1991 and a master’s degree in public policy from Georgetown University in 1997, according to a news release. He started working with the California Community Colleges Chancellor’s Office in 2011 from the California state Senate, where he served as principal consultant for the Senate Committee on Appropriations. Before his work in the Senate, he worked at the California Department of Finance.

He will begin work at Cuesta College on April 25.
