Nearly 1,000 students are eligible to graduate in three ceremonies at Cal Poly’s fall commencement scheduled for Dec. 12 in the main gym in the ASI Recreation Center. The ceremonies will be live-streamed by Cal Poly’s Journalism Department.
At 9 a.m., the College of Agriculture, Food & Environmental Sciences and the College of Science & Mathematics will hold their commencement ceremony. Keynote speaker is Jaime Cuello, who earned his bachelor’s and master’s degrees at Cal Poly and works as a fifth-grade teacher at Mary Buren Elementary School in Guadalupe.
A 1 p.m. commencement ceremony will be held for the College of Liberal Arts and the Orfalea College of Business. Keynote speaker is Bruce Flohr, a 1998 journalism graduate with more than 20 years in the music business. In his artist marketing position at RCA, he signed the Dave Matthews Band and Foo Fighters to recording contracts.
A 4 p.m. graduation ceremony will be held for the College of Architecture & Environmental Design and the College of Engineering. Two faculty members will speak: Mechanical Engineering Professor Kim Shollenberger and Architecture Professor Sandy Stannard.
