Cal Poly Organic Farm ranked among top college farms in U.S.

The Cal Poly Organic Farm has been ranked among the top 20 university farms in America by the independent website Best College Reviews.

The 11-acre farm in the College of Agriculture, Food & Environmental Sciences' horticulture and crop science department is managed by students, faculty and staff.

The farm serves as a learning environment and laboratory with dozens of varieties of produce grown each year, including broccoli, squash, kale and carrots.

Other colleges that made the list include Chico State, Warren Wilson College in Asheville, N.C., and College of the Ozarks in Point Lookout, Mo.
