Mission College Preparatory Catholic High School celebrated 66 graduating seniors who officially received their diplomas Friday night after spending the last four years studying and serving the community.
“We know that this group of amazing young men and women are just beginning to make a significant impact on this world,” the school said in a news release.
According to the release, 99% of the graduating class is headed straight to college, spreading out to schools from Hawaii to Washington D.C., including 16 different California schools.
Fourteen students are headed to Cal Poly, while another 10 are taking advantage of two free years at community colleges like Allan Hancock and Cuesta.

Friday’s ceremony celebrated two standout graduates — valedictorian Adam Clipperton, who graduated with a 4.685 weighted GPA, and salutatorian Caiden Marsalek, who received a 4.678.
The senior class as a whole boasted an unweighted GPA of 3.6, the release said.
“Throughout their four years at MCP, our seniors have demonstrated determination and focus, and we are honored to report that their efforts have produced positive results,” the release said.
Additionally, the release highlighted that the crew of seniors have volunteered at a slew of local charities and nonprofits.

“We have been blessed with a group of students who have servants’ hearts,” it said. “This group of 66 seniors has given thousands of hours of service to their local community and beyond.”
As of Thursday, the reported merit-based scholarships received by the Mission Prep graduates totaled over $2.5 million.
“These awards are self-reported by students and families, so that undoubtedly represents just a partial list, but it is an outstanding class which has exceeded all expectations,” the school said.
