Cal Poly Plant Shop set to open annual holiday poinsettia sale

Cal Poly’s annual poinsettia sale is back for the holiday season with thousands of plants in dozens of varieties and colors.

Red, pink, white, variegated ... chances are there is a color to match your holiday theme.

The poinsettias, grown by horticulture and crop science students in campus greenhouses, range in size from 4-inch pots to 3-foot-tall decorative statements. Prices range from $8 to $75.

In addition to poinsettias, the sale also features student-made wreaths, centerpieces, succulents, ornaments and gifts.

The sale begins Friday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. The Cal Poly Plant Shop will be open Dec. 3-4 and Dec. 9-11.

Customers are required to wear masks while in the shop located on campus on Via Carta Road opposite the baseball stadium.
