Police looking for man who robbed SLO hotel at gunpoint

Police are looking for a man who robbed a San Luis Obispo hotel at gunpoint Sunday night.

A man entered the Lexington Inn at 2050 Garfield Street around 10:30 p.m., pulled out a black semi-automatic handgun and demanded money from the clerk, according to San Luis Obispo police. The suspect ran after getting an undisclosed amount of money from the employee.

After an extensive search, officers were not able to locate the suspect, who is described as a white man, approximately 5 feet, 10 inches tall and 200 pounds. He was last seen wearing a gray hoodie and had a gray bandana covering his face. It is unknown if a vehicle was used during the crime.
