Soledad boy found safe after Amber Alert

A missing 2-year-old boy from Soledad who was the subject of an Amber Alert on Thursday was found safe, according to the Soledad Police Department.

The CHP issued an Amber Alert for Jason Vargas on Thursday morning, saying the boy had been abducted from Soledad.

The Amber Alert was canceled Thursday afternoon after the boy was recovered unharmed.

Jason Vargas was allegedly taken at about 6:45 a.m. by an unknown suspect. The suspect was said to be driving a black 2015 Honda Accord with tinted windows and damage to the left rear bumper, license plate number 7LIE244.
