A Paso Robles High School teacher accused of having a sexual relationship with a student there now faces additional charges of sexual misconduct in Merced County.

Jeremy Monn, 31, pleaded not guilty Thursday to charges of having sex with a minor in Merced County. According to the Union Democrat newspaper, Monn, of Paso Robles, was a teacher at Don Pedro High School in Merced County in 2013, when the alleged crimes occurred.

The crimes did not occur at the school, police there said.

In June, Monn was arrested in Paso Robles on suspicion of unlawful sex with a minor. According to Paso Robles police, a 16-year-old student said she was having an ongoing relationship with Monn between March and June of 2014.

Monn, who is set to appear in San Luis Obispo Superior Court on Monday for a pre-trial hearing, has pleaded not guilty to seven felonies in that case.

The Paso Robles school district did not renew Monn’s contract.
