DUI driver slams into parked car during early morning crash, SLO police say
A driver was arrested in San Luis Obispo early Friday morning on suspicion of a DUI after smashing into an unoccupied, parked truck.
Around 1:15 a.m. Friday, a person living on the 2100 block on Johnson Avenue reported hearing a car crash near their residence, according to a news release from the SLO Police Department.
When patrol officers and the SLO City Fire Department arrived on the scene, they found a person driving a gray Toyota truck had crashed into a parked white truck.
No one was in the parked vehicle, the release said.
The driver was not injured. They were arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence, according to the police.
“Don’t drink and drive,” the release said.
