Police investigate shooting in Paso Robles that sent man to hospital

Paso Robles police have launched an investigation after a man was reportedly shot by an unknown person Saturday evening.

The Paso Robles Police Department received multiple reports of gunshots heard in the 3500 block of Park Street around 8:20 p.m., according to a news release.

Police had arrived on scene when the department’s dispatch was notified that a man showed up at a local hospital seeking treatment for two non-life-threatening gunshot wounds, according to the release.

“The victim was able to provide only limited details about the incident,” the release said. “The suspect is described as a slender male wearing a black ski mask, a blue-hooded sweatshirt and black jeans.”

Officers at the scene found multiple spent shell casings in the roadway, confirming there had been a shooting, according to the release.

The incident is under investigation, according to the release.
