Man arrested in SLO County after allegedly trying to meet with a minor for sex

A man with a loaded assault rifle in his car was arrested in connection with a human trafficking investigation in San Luis Obispo County on Thursday, police said.

Porterville resident Henry Vincent Terronez, 34, allegedly “intended to meet with a minor for sexual purposes” in Arroyo Grande on Thursday, police said in a news release.

After investigating Terronez for weeks, Grover Beach Police Department officers contacted him in Arroyo Grande where he allegedly planned to meet with the minor.

Police found an AR-15 in the backseat of his car, which was loaded with “a 60-round drum magazine and several 30-round magazines with armor-piercing ammunition,” the release said.

Terronez was arrested on suspicion of alleged human trafficking of a victim under 18 years old, arranging a meeting with a minor for lewd purposes, meeting with a minor for lewd purposes, sending harmful material to a minor with sexual intent, carrying a concealed weapon in a vehicle and pandering, police said.

He was booked into San Luis Obispo County Jail in lieu of $800,000 bail, according to jail records.
