Early morning fire destroys building at SLO County sports complex. Police say it may be arson
A fire that broke out at a Pismo Beach sports field on Friday morning was under investigation as arson, according to police.
The fire broke out at the Pismo Beach Sports Complex early Friday, the Police Department said on social media.
The announcer booth and equipment room at Blair Field were fully engulfed when officers arrived on scene, the post said.
While Cal Fire was able to extinguish the flames before they spread, the building was “a total loss,” police reported.
The incident was being investigated as arson.
