Paso Robles man found guilty of sexual battery of female Uber driver

A Paso Robles man was found guilty Wednesday of misdemeanor sexual battery of an Uber driver after he attacked the woman in December.

According to a news release from the San Luis Obispo County District Attorney’s Office, 56-year-old Paso Robles resident Robi Al Nogo was found guilty of sexual battery against a female Uber driver, stemming from an incident in rural Paso Robles late last year.

A camera inside the vehicle captured the battery on tape, which was replayed for jurors during the six-day trial.

“Criminal assault is not tolerated in our community,” District Attorney Dan Dow said in the release. “Our mission is to bring justice and safety to our community by aggressively and fairly prosecuting crime and protecting the rights of crime victims. I am proud of our team members who work hard every day to hold offenders like this one accountable.”

Nogo faces a maximum misdemeanor penalty of up to one year in county jail, one year probation and and will be required to register as a sex offender for 10 years, according to the release.

Nogo’s sentencing will be held Aug. 21, with San Luis Obispo County Superior Court Judge Michael Frye presiding over the case.
