The three suspects who police said caused $15,000 of damage by doing donuts in the Costco parking lot Saturday have been identified, the San Luis Obispo Police Department confirmed to The Tribune.

Donuts are when a driver spins a car in a tight circle at a high rate of speed, leaving tire marks on the pavement.

According to a social media post from the agency, three people driving a Toyota 4 Runner, a BMW and a Ford Mustang caused the damage at around 8:30 p.m. Saturday evening.

The three people were identified as juveniles and further details will not be released, Christine Wallace, spokesperson for the department, said.

Wallace said Costco had just had the parking lot repaved. The retailer shared photos of the suspects and their vehicles with police.
