Paso Robles police say a man believed to have been driving under the influence left two people with injuries in a hit-and-run crash Monday evening.
According to a news release from the Paso Robles Police Department, officers responded to reports of a traffic collision with injuries at the intersection of Creston Road and Cedarwood Drive around 9:43 p.m. Monday.
The suspect vehicle fled the scene as officers were en route to the scene of the collision, but was pulled over by one of the responding police units, the release said.
The vehicle’s driver, 47-year-old Paso Robles resident Nicacio Antonio Mendoza, was found to be intoxicated, according to the release.
He was arrested on suspicion of charges of felony DUI and hit and run, the release said.
