The San Luis Obispo Police Department is asking for the community’s help in locating a prowler who was reported in the neighborhoods near Cal Poly, according to a post on the department’s Twitter.

“The suspected prowler, depicted in these photos, is believed to frequent the Front Porch coffee shop adjacent to Cal Poly on East Foothill,” SLOPD said on Twitter.

Detectives are interested in speaking with the suspected prowler, and are encouraging community members to call 805-781-7312 to provide his location.

In the meantime, residents are also encouraged to protect themselves and their property by keeping doors and windows locked, blinds and curtains closed at night and to call 911 if someone is prowling on their property.
