Man whose motorcycle crashed into truck in Morro Bay dies from injuries 

A 69-year-old man has died from injuries sustained in a motorcycle crash in Morro Bay earlier this week, the Morro Bay Police Department announced on Thursday.

Michael Barrios, 69, was driving a motorcycle eastbound on Atascadero Road around 1:45 p.m. Monday when he collided with a truck, according to a police news release,

The truck, driven by Efren Morales, 51, was exiting the driveway of businesses in the 500 block of Atascadero Road, according to the release.

All parties remained at the scene as officers investigated the collision and determined that drugs and alcohol were not a factor in the crash, police said.

Barrios complained of pain, and was transported to a local hospital for treatment, where he underwent surgery.

On Wednesday, Barrios died as a result of his injuries, according to the release.

It was not clear from the release where Barrios or Morales live.
