1 person found dead after car catches fire in Nipomo garage
A person was found dead during a vehicle fire in a Nipomo garage Friday, according to Cal Fire.
Crews responded at 1:55 p.m. for a report of a fire in the 1300 block of Trail View Place, and found a vehicle in a garage “fully involved” in flames, a Cal Fire spokesperson told The Tribune on Friday evening.
Several crews responded to the fire, containing it before it spread to the rest of the home, Cal Fire said. The agency said it is unclear how the fire started or how the deceased individual died.
The fire is currently under investigation, and the San Luis Obispo County Sheriff-Coroner is currently investigating on scene.
