Police are asking for help identifying a person who vandalized businesses in downtown San Luis Obispo.

On June 4, security cameras caught the person vandalizing the windows of three different businesses in the downtown area, the San Luis Obispo Police Department said Wednesday in posts on Facebook and Twitter.

The person carved a tag into the windows, police said via Facebook.

The agency is asking the community for assistance in identifying the suspect.

Police shared images and video footage recorded by security cameras, which show a person with dark hair wearing a white button-down shirt, black pants and red shoes.

Anyone with information about the vandalism case is asked to contact police Officer Perlette at 805-594-8029 and to reference case No. 220604001 when providing the officer with details.
