The San Luis Obispo County Sheriff’s Office is asking for help identifying a person who may have information on an active investigation.

According to a news release Wednesday afternoon, a “good Samaritan” turned in a found cell phone at an AT&T store on Branch Street in Arroyo Grande on March 13.

The Sheriff’s Office says that person may have helpful information regarding an active investigation.

Sheriff’s Office spokesman Tony Cipolla declined to disclose what sort of investigation the person may have information on, saying the department does not disclose details of active investigations.

The department released a surveillance camera photograph showing the person when they turned in the phone in March.
