SLO firefighters ask for public’s help after week of reported threats, vandalism

The San Luis Obispo City Fire Department is asking for the public’s help with a vandalism problem.

According to a Facebook post on Saturday night, there “has been vandalism to fire stations and threats towards your firefighters in the past week.”

The post asks the public for extra vigilance and to keep an eye out for suspicious activity around the fire stations.

It is unclear if the vandalism is related to an incident at the San Luis Obispo Psychiatric Health Facility Saturday morning, which also involved vandalism.

This story will be updated as more information becomes available.
