San Luis Obispo police are asking for the public’s help identifying a prowler after multiple reports around town.

San Luis Obispo police are on the lookout for a prowler who’s been reaching into open windows and touching people while they sleep.

Police say the male suspect has been identified at times as white and at times as Hispanic, and the time of report ranges from late night to the early-morning hours. They have received several calls for service throughout the city over the last two weeks.

“In a few instances, the suspect has been reported to have reached in a window and touched the victims while (they were) sleeping,” according to a police statement. “During nighttime hours, leaving curtains and blinds open can increase the visibility into your home.”

Police are asking for victims or witnesses of the suspected prowler to contact them, and callers may remain anonymous by calling 805-549-7867.
