Sheriff releases photos of armed robber in San Miguel
Photos released Tuesday by the Sheriff’s Office show an man dressed in black brandishing a gun as he robbed a gas station in San Miguel on Sunday morning.
Sheriff’s deputies responded to a report of an armed robbery at the Chevron station at 998 K St. in San Miguel at about 6 a.m. Witnesses say a man entered the gas station, displayed a black semi-automatic handgun and demanded money, according to a news release. The man ran out of the store with an undisclosed amount of money. No one was hurt during the robbery.
The robber is described as being about 25 to 30 years old, 6 feet tall and about 180 to 200 pounds. He was described as wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, black pants, a black ball cap and a black bandana with either white stars or white X’s on it, which was covering his face, the news release said.
Sheriff’s detectives are trying to find two witnesses, a male and a female, who were inside the station at the time of the incident. They’re asking the witnesses and anyone with information on the robbery to call the Sheriff’s Office at 805-781-4550.
The investigation is ongoing.
