Kanpai Sushi in Shell Beach burglarized, police say

Police are searching for a thief or thiefs who burglarized Kanpai Sushi in Shell Beach last week, Pismo Beach police Officer Chris Siglin said.

Siglin said $1,000 was taken from the restaurant.

The incident was reported to police Wednesday, and they responded to the scene at 2665 Shell Beach Road at 4:30 p.m. Siglin was unsure when the burglary took place.

Siglin said a hole had been cut through the exterior janitor’s closet on the southeast wall, which led to the manager’s office.
