The San Miguel Advisory Council will hold elections at its June meeting. Nominations will be accepted at the next two meetings — April 27 and May 25.
The group meets once a month at 7 p.m. at the Community Building in the park. The council is an advisory liaison between the community and the Board of Supervisors and County Planning Department.

Salute to volunteers
Thank you to employees of Courtyard Cellars who spent a public-service Saturday helping clean and refresh our downtown.
The Pleasant Valley Community Foundation invites everyone to an “Old Fashioned Box Social” fundraiser on Saturday, April 16, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the 1908 schoolhouse at 2030 Ranchita Canyon Road, off Estrella Road.
Bring a picnic lunch for two to be sold at auction to the highest bidder beginning at 11:30 a.m. Lemonade will be provided; wine will be available at $5 a glass.
