Mission San Miguel reopens its Retreat Center

The Retreat Center at Mission San Miguel has been reopened.

They are reaching out to groups to schedule marriage encounters, Cursillos (leadership programs for lay people), Confirmation classes and other group retreats. For more information or to schedule a retreat, call the Parish Office at 805-467-2131 during business hours: 9 a.m. to noon and 1 to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Meetings this week

▪  The San Miguel Advisory Council will meet Wednesday at 7 p.m. at the community building behind the library in the park. The council advises the San Luis Obispo County Board of Supervisors and the planning department.

A representative from Caltrans has been invited to speak about the project to upgrade Highway 101 from the San Marcos bridge to Camp Roberts. It began Feb. 6.

▪  The San Miguel Community Services District Board will meet Feb. 23 at 7 p.m. in the boardroom at the Community Services Building downtown. Meetings are open to the public, and comments are welcome.
