The Pewter Plough Playhouse will present “The Dixie Swim Club,” a comedy celebrating 50 years of friendship among five North Carolina women, Aug. 12 to Sept. 11 at 828 Main St. in Cambria.
Kelli Howard will direct the play by Jessie Jones, Nicholas Hope and Jamie Wooten, which focuses on former members of a college swim team as they mature through the years.
The cast features Janice Peters, Janine Ehlich, Joyce Calderone, T.C. Wits, Samantha Loring, Anita Schwaber, Carol Burkhart and Gai Smith.
The play opens Friday, Aug. 12, with a preview night at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $17. Tickets for the following evening’s Gala Champagne Opening are $25 and include an after-show party with champagne and desserts.
Tickets for regular performances are $22, or $17 for students with IDs. Groups of 10 or more receive a 10 percent discount with a single payment in advance.
