Poulos, Albanese to play at Cambria Center for the Arts
Jill Poulos and the Jeweled Sky Band will perform as part of the Cambria Center for the Arts Theatre’s Cabaresque series in a pair of shows, March 12 and 13.
The Saturday show starts at 7:30 p.m., with the Sunday show at 3 p.m.
Brynn Albanese will be the special guest for both performances, along with Eric Williams on bass, Grant Chase on cello and Cassie Tarantino on pennywhistle.
Poulos’ band consists of Helen Robillard, Justin Robillard and Ron Poulos. The band began work on “Beneath a Jeweled Sky” in 2006, and the CD was released two years later. Jill Poulos plays Celtic harp and guitar, while Ron Poulos plays mandolin and violin.
CCAT will also have a one-hour happy hour before the Saturday performance and a wine bar open Sunday.
Meanwhile, the CCAT has updated its recently announced schedule to include a pair of Cabaresque changes.
▪ The Kings of Cool, who headlined the annual CCA fundraiser, have been booked for a second show. The Kings of Cool features local performers Chad Stevens, Hobby Horn, John Laird and Brett Mitchell interpreting the music of Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin.
Barbara Beane, who handles publicity for CCAT, called the fundraiser performance a “big hit,” so the theater added a second night as part of its Cabaresque series. That performance is scheduled for May 14.
▪ The Fab 8 Beatles tribune show scheduled for May 28-29 has been retitled “Honoring the Music of the Bealtes.”
All Cabaresque shows are set for 7:30 p.m. Saturdays and 3 p.m. Sundays. Tickets are $20 or $15 for CCA members. Students with IDs can purchase tickets for $5 (box office only), and groups of 10 or more can purchase seats for $15.
