Cambria flash mob dancers to participate in record try
Cambria’s dancing flash mob has three more performances, including participation in a worldwide attempt to break the Guinness World Record for the most people doing the same dance to Michael Jackson’s “Thriller,” all at the same time.
The worldwide goal is to have 1 million participants.
Dance leader and instructor Deanna Voelker of Cambria said the Dancers by the Sea troupe will assemble and dance at 3:45 p.m. Friday, Oct. 18, at the Cambria Farmers Market and 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 19, on Center Street.
Participants are to dress in zombie attire.
The “Thrill the World Cambria” attempt on Saturday, Oct. 26, is set for 2 p.m., likely on Center Street again.
This is the eighth year for “Thrill the World” events and the first time there’s been an official, registered participation in Cambria, said Voelker, who is managing the local entry.
