Free, reduced-price meal eligibility for Coast Unified detailed
The following children are eligible for free or reduced-price meals under income eligibility guidelines effective through June 30, Coast Unified School District announced in a news release.
Students eligible for free lunches, breakfasts and milk are those belonging to households with maximum annual incomes of $15,444 (household of one), $20,826 (two), $26,208 (three), $31,590 (four), $36,972 (five), $42,354 (six), $47,749 (seven) or $53,157 (eight). For each additional member, add $5,408.
Students eligible for reduced-price breakfasts and lunches are those belonging to households with maximum annual incomes of $21,978 (household of one), $29,637 (two), $37,296 (three), $44,955 (four), $52,614 (five), $60,273 (six), $67,951 (seven) or $75,647 (eight). For each additional member, add $7,696.
The district will notify a household of eligibility for free meals if any household member receives CalFresh, CalWORKS or Food Distribution Program Indian on Reservations benefits.
No application is required if a household receives an eligibility notice from school officials. Households not receiving such a notice must complete an application for the district to determine their child’s eligibility. Foster children are eligible for free meals.
