Most candidates who seek election to local school boards and special-district boards, including incumbents, must file their paperwork by Friday, Aug. 12.

If all incumbents for an office don’t file by Aug. 12, non-incumbents have until Wednesday, Aug. 17, to complete their paperwork for that seat. Declarations of candidacy and nomination papers can be filed at the San Luis Obispo County Clerk-Recorder’s office in San Luis Obispo.

As of about 7 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 9, 14 candidates had filed for election or re-election to 13 seats on North Coast boards.
