San Luis Obispo County planning commissioners are expected to decide Thursday, Aug. 11, whether to grant a five-year permit for the Cambria Pines Lodge to operate the Cambria Christmas Market, held from Thanksgiving weekend to Christmas on the lodge grounds.
They are reviewing whether proposed new permit conditions and requirements are sufficient to grant the five-year operation. County planning staff has recommended approval subject to the conditions.
Previous permits, granted by the California Coastal Commission, had been for a year at a time. Starting this year, the county assumes jurisdiction from the state agency.
The meeting is scheduled to start at 9 a.m. at the County Government Center, 1055 Monterey St., Room D170, in San Luis Obispo.
