Inaugural Cambria Celebration of Authors called a huge success
The inaugural Cambria Celebration of Authors attracted more than 30 local and out-of-town authors and illustrators who showcased their work. Cambria Historical Society and Friends of the Cambria Library say the Saturday, July 2, event was a huge success. Attendees snapped up books autographed by their authors.
Sharon Lovejoy and Catherine Ryan Hyde were the featured guests at the celebration. The event included a wide range of fiction and nonfiction writers, who contributed a substantial percentage of their proceeds to the Historical Society Operations Fund. Hyde “paid it forward” by donating 100 percent of her sales for the day.
Many of the authors who participated have works available in the bookstore at the Cambria Historical Museum.
Organizers hope to make the Celebration of Authors an annual event.
