Cambria’s Allison Groves runs for spot on Democratic Central Committee

Yes, there is a local on the ballot for the June 7 primary election, at least for those who are registered as Democrats. Political consultant Allison Groves of Cambria is running to be on the Democratic Central Committee.

Other candidates are business owner/writer Tom Fulks, educator Lara Storm, incumbents Cheryl Conway and Lori A. Caudill and political consultant Thomas Kessler.

Voters are to select no more than five from the field of six.

Groves has served on the committee before, representing other districts in which she lived. She’s also a member of the Cambria Community Services District Buildout Reduction Citizens’ Committee, having been appointed by CSD Director Amanda Rice.
