Cambria has another notch on its belt of honors, having made a “best of” list that identifies what the author considers to be the 10 most beautiful smaller towns on the West Coast.

In December, Marcelina Morfin of theculturetrip.com compiled her mostly alphabetic list of “diverse landscapes and towns brimming with charm” throughout the West Coast states, from “coastal gems to inland beauties.”

Under a photo of a fog-draped Cambria coastline and neighborhood, Morfin wrote briefly that “Cambria is a picturesque charmer, complete with tall pine trees and jagged coastline.”

She called the town “a great artistic hub,” that also has recreational activities for outdoor enthusiasts and interesting sites for history seekers.

Other California towns that made the list — which also includes towns in Washington and Oregon — are Claremont,

Mendocino and Nevada City.
