CPR class offered March 11 at Cambria Drug and Gift

Cambria Health Care Services and Cambria Drug and Gift will present a CPR training class at 8 a.m. Friday, March 11, at the drug and gift store, 2222 Main St., in Cambria.

Coffee and refreshments will be served.

Ambulance crews from Cambria Health Care Services will demonstrate the hands-only method of CPR, after which attendees will be able to practice the technique and do compressions.

Hands-only CPR is as effective as traditional CPR in adult victims and is easy to learn.

The greatest percentage of people who survive a cardiac emergency are helped by a bystander. Statistically, four out of five attacks happen in the home.
