The public can share the 141st birthday celebration for the Piedras Blancas Light Station on Saturday, Feb. 13, when a special living history tour will be offered.

The “Peek at the Past” tour will feature guides in period attire and enactors portraying life 1890 life at the light station. Tours also include views of spectacular oceanfront scenery and wildlife viewing.

Fee for the two-hour tour is the same as always, $10 for adults, and $5 for ages 6 through 17 (cash or check is preferred).

Tour takers gather at 9:45 a.m. (or earlier) at the former Piedras Blancas Motel, 1.5 miles north of the gate to the lighthouse (don’t wait at the gate to the lighthouse).
