Ruthanne Anderson’s watercolors on display at Cambria Library
The watercolors of Ruthanne Anderson will be featured this month at the Cambria Library.
A graduate of the University of Minnesota with a degree in journalism, Anderson and her husband, Dick, split their time between Cambria and Durango, Colo. She credits her husband, who worked as an art teacher for Anaheim Union High School District, as having a significant influence on her art.
According to Anderson, her husband taught her to “see” the colors, perspective and play of light or fog or wind. Anderson is also a member of the Chickens, a group of local artists who meet every Thursday morning. “We paint and enjoy the process,” she said. “If the product turns out well, that is icing on the cake.
Anderson’s paintings will be on display through Jan. 30 at the library, 1043 Main St. Library hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday and 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday.
