Village Wizard to ring in new year at Plough

Rick Bruce, the Village Wizard, will take the stage on New Year’s Eve at the Pewter Plough Playhouse for a special magic show and celebration.

The show will start at 7:30 p.m., and a New Year’s celebration will begin after the show at 9 p.m. (midnight in New York).

“I think this will be great,” Bruce said. “We’ll bring the party favors, a few prizes, Champagne and Martinelli’s and make it a party.”

Bruce, also known as the “Merchant of Miracles,” will present a show that includes funny and spooky magic, along with some of his favorite stories and memories.

“I don’t know what folks expect in a magic show, but I don’t think they’ll be bringing a bunny or a hat. Personally, I’m really looking forward to sharing some of my favorite things while catching up with old friends and making new ones. It should be an evening to remember.”

Tickets for the New Year’s package are $35 each, payable by check, Visa or Mastercard. Reservations are available by phoning the box office at 927-3877. The Pewter Plough Playhouse is at 828 Main St.
