Now that ghosts, goblins and jack-o’-lantern decorations are giving way to pilgrims, turkeys and intact pumpkins, it’s time for volunteers and participants to make plans for Cambria’s annual community Thanksgiving dinner.
The yearly meal with all the traditional fixings is served free to any and all from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 26, at the Veterans Memorial Building, 1000 Main St.
Many people spend hours and days donating their time and effort each year so the dinner can be offered free, especially Chef Daun Putney, who has been organizing this event for more than a decade.
Putney still is seeking a few helpers, and especially some musicians to play from 12:30 to 2 p.m.
