Cambria has been named one of the “25 Best Small Town Honeymoon Destinations in the U.S.” The honor comes courtesy of VacationIdea Dream Vacation Magazine, which posted rankings online (http://bit.ly/1HM6ZmJ) March 30.

Cambria is third from the top of the list on the website, though the rankings are not numbered.

VacationIdea describes Cambria as a “relaxed coastal town” that’s “surrounded by breathtaking natural beauty of towering pine trees and the Pacific Ocean.”

The site continues: “The town’s rich history is reflected in the beautiful old homes and museums, including the Cambria Historical Museum in the Historic East Village.” It also mentions opportunities for viewing elephant seals, taking a romantic walk along the beach, and visiting galleries along with live theater and musical events.

Cambria is the only California town on the list.

Other towns on the list were Friday Harbor, Wash.; Taos, N.M.; Key West, Fla.; Fredericksburg, Texas; Virginia Beach, Va.; Wilmington, N.C.; Ann Arbor, Mich.; Bayfield, Wis.; Newport, R.I.; Sedona, Ariz.; Lahaina, Maui, Hawaii; Montauk, N.Y.; Fairhope, Ala.; Columbus, Ind.; Galena, Ill.; Annapolis, Md.; Savannah, Ga.; Burlington, Vt.; Gatlinburg, Tenn.; Bar Harbor, Maine; Homer, Alaska; Ourey, Colo.; Charleson, S.C.; and Bend, Ore.
