This Cambria couple delivers restaurant meals and groceries right to your door

Tired of cooking but don’t have the energy to go out to eat?

There aren’t a lot of delivery options in the Cambria-San Simeon area. Grubhub? No. Uber Eats? Nope.

Enter Every Bite Is Pure Delight, a new nighttime meal-delivery service owned and operated by 1997 Coast Union High School graduate Caesar “C.J.” Reveles and his wife, April.

The couple also offer monthly grocery shopping and delivery service to members.

After graduating from Coast Union, C.J. Reveles studied business, marketing and accounting. He had several companies, he said.

“But we wanted to move here,” Reveles added, “and I wanted to develop this locally, offer a good experience for locals, and provide a service to visitors so they wouldn’t feel like they’re in the middle of nowhere.”

Every Bite Is Pure Delight launched in May.

“We started with the grocery delivery system,” Reveles said, “mainly for our parents and people they knew who needed groceries locally or from San Luis Obispo: Trader Joe’s, Sprouts, Foods for Less.”

Four times a month, or, once a week, the Reveles shop for and deliver groceries to customeers between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. on weekdays, with additional deliveries available if needed. The monthly service starts at $120, and individual deliveries start at $30 each.

But they didn’t stop there.

“Then we got menus from different restaurants,” Reveles said, and expanded into delivering freshly cooked restaurant meals to residents and visitors staying in area hotels, inns, bed-and-breakfasts and vacation rental homes.

“We wanted to make it as practical as possible, accessed easily, so they could have their food before it gets cold,” he said.

Organizing a meal delivery via Every Bite Is Pure Delight is pretty simple, although it takes a few phone calls or texts.

Customers contact Reveles by phone or text at 805-738-5599, giving as much advance notice as they can for deliveries between 6 and 9 p.m. Friday through Wednesday.

Customers then call the restaurant of their choosing and place and pay for a take-out order, telling them what time Every Bite Is Pure Delight will be picking up the meals.

The next step involves confirming that time with Reveles, usually via text. Reveles advises customers to include the delivery address and some cross streets, and remember to turn on the front porch light.

Finally, customers pay the $15 service fee when their meal is delivered.
