Forty-three cats and 25 kittens are waiting for new homes at the Homeless Animal Rescue Team in Cambria, which is also offering Guardian Angel gift certificates for sale to help with medical care for the shelter’s feline residents.

HART encourages local residents to adopt a cat or purchase a gift certificate in any amount of $5 or more. Those donating to the Guardian Angel program receive a customized printed certificate recognizing their donation to the HART Guardian Angel Fund, which was set up to help homeless cats and kittens in need of urgent medical care.

The shelter, at 2638 Main St. in Cambria’s East Village, is open from noon to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday.
