Cambria Citizen of the Year nominations for 2016 due Nov. 30

The deadline to submit nominations for Cambria Citizen of the Year 2016 is 5 p.m. Nov. 30.

Finalists will be chosen by past award recipients, with the winner selected by the Cambria Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors.

The recipient or recipients will be announced in The Cambrian and will be honored during the installation banquet on Jan. 17 at San Simeon Beach Bar & Grill.

According to the nomination form, the winner will be “a very special person who contributes to our community unselfishly and enthusiastically for the benefit of all.”

“Cambria residents will be considered for overall service to the community, whether ongoing or long term, in one or more areas, or for a significant one time contribution,” the form states.

Nominations should include specific deeds or contributions, outstanding personal qualities and ways in which the individual has participated in various organizations, events or projects.

Greg and Teri Sanders were co-recipients of the 2015 award.
