Candidates for Cambria health district vacancy to be interviewed
The four remaining trustees on the Cambria Community Healthcare District board soon will interview candidates to fill a vacancy created by the recent death of their peer Michael McLaughlin.
The selection will be made following candidate interviews at a special meeting set for 1 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 21, at the Old Cambria Grammar School, 1350 Main St. The deadline to apply is Friday, Sept. 16.
McLaughlin died Aug. 12. His term runs through December 2018.
Application forms are available at the district office, 1241 Knollwood Drive, Suite 202. Completed applications can be submitted there, marked to the attention of Heidi Holmes-Nagy, administrative services manager. Details: 805-927-8304 or www.cambria-healthcare.org.
That’s not the only recent change at the district. Former operations director Dan McCrain left CCHD to become the new fire captain at Cambria Fire Department. He’s to be sworn in Thursday, Sept. 22, at the Cambria Community Services District Board of Directors’ meeting.
Health district trustees selected longtime paramedic Jason Melendy to fill the vacancy on an interim basis.
