HART plans adoption promotion, prize drawing
The Homeless Animal Rescue Team (HART) will have two special events in September.
HART will kick off the fall season with its MVP — Most Valuable Pet — promotion. During September, as a partner in the Best Friends Animal Society network, HART will offer a reduced adoption fee of $25 for cats 9 months of age or older.
Also in September, and continuing through Oct. 29, HART will present its “Cause for Paws Raffle” fundraiser.
Local businesses, artists and other supporters of HART’s Guardian Angel program have donated 56 prizes for the raffle, which are described on HART’s website at www.slohart.org/news.htm. Tickets are $10 or $25 for three and may be purchased at the HART office; by phone at 805-927-7377; at the Cambria Farmers Market on Fridays at the Veterans Memorial Building; or at the Cambria Chamber of Commerce, 767 Main St.
Winning tickets will be drawn Oct. 29. Winners will be notified by phone and/or email and need not be present to win.
HART’s Guardian Angel program raises money exclusively for special medical care that some of HART’s cats and kittens may need. HART is at 2638 Main St. in Cambria’s East Village. Shelter hours are noon to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday.
