Cuesta College engineering student Gillian Stargensk has been awarded a $1,500 scholarship from Southern California Gas Co.
The scholarship is intended for full-time students enrolled at a community college who plan to transfer to a four-year university. Stargensk plans to transfer to Cal Poly to study mechanical engineering next year.
District manager for SoCalGas, Timothy Mahoney, said the company wants to “support the next generation of leaders and inspire students to pursue higher education and careers in the fields of engineering, math, science, business and accounting.”
