Good News about Bellevue-Santa Fe Charter School and Boy and Girl Scouts

The Avila Beach Community Foundation recently granted $4,500 to Bellevue-Santa Fe Charter School.

The funds will go toward the purchase of additional iPads for the second- and third-grade classes, which will help to achieve the school’s educational technology goals.

“The foundation is proud to be able to help Bellevue-Santa Fe Charter School expand the use of technology in the school and provide more students access to a digital education,” said Rick Cohen, executive director of the foundation.

Paso Robles

The Paso Robles Elks Club recently held a dinner for local Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts and their families to honor being awarded Eagle, Gold and Silver awards.

The Atascadero Elks Lodge assisted at the event.

The Scouts received plaques from the Elks.

Certificates of Achievement were awarded by representatives from the offices of Congresswoman Lois Capps, state Sen. Bill Monning, Assemblyman Katcho Achadjian, Paso Robles Mayor Steve Martin and county Supervisors Frank Mecham and Debbie Arnold.

The Eagle Scout awards were given to the following Boy Scouts: Michael Velasquez, Anthony Arena, Grant Scheiffele, Iver Hansen, Richard Andrus, Jerry Zuniga, Zachary Adams, Felipe DeJesus, Lucas Springe, Andrew Magie, Alden Giese and Mitchel Watterson.

Girl Scout Gold Awards were given to Carrisa Dutra and Bitty Versin.

Girl Scout Silver Awards were given to Abigail Avery, Loretta Burke, Olivia Mays, Sarah Munoz, Emily Olsen, Regan Rowins, Brenna Terhorst and Bailey von Dohlen.
